ESG Director of Tennis/Sport Position – Effingham, Surrey

The Company – England Sports Group

Ex-professional tennis player, Clinton Lamprecht founded the England Sports Group in 1991. The company has been coaching children sport since then when the first club was opened at Hampton School, Middlesex. The England Sports Group has four strong divisions; ESG Schools, Tennis England, Camp England, and Gymnastics England.

Today the England Sports group provides sports coaching for children in 10 clubs and at more than 50 schools. More than 2000 children are coached each week in sports and the arts such as tennis, football, hockey, gymnastics, netball, dance, and drama.



The role builds multiple skills within you enabling you to build a business with multiple streams of revenue. It all starts with you; our core philosophy is that you must work harder on yourself than on your business because it is only when you change and grow that you will be able impact your business results. Your life and your business is a complete reflection of your philosophy and skills. ESG has a strong emphasis on personal and professional development with numerous training programmes.

The Position

Self-employed Director of Sport and entrepreneur with multiple streams of revenue.

You will be given a personal mentor and receive one mentoring session each week and one group coaching session each month.


Multiple Streams of Revenue


Sports Coaching

  • Group coaching in club, schools, breakfast classes, curriculum, lunch-time and after school’s lessons paid at an hourly rate depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Individual tennis lessons.
  • Holiday tennis and sports camps, weekly rate depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Free Roadshow coaching to schools paid at £7.20 per hour.


Nutritional Products

Build a multi-level marketing business by selling an international brand of nutritional products to our clients and receive high commissions on each sale.


Tennis Equipment

Sell tennis racquets, tennis balls and clothes with high commissions on each sale.


Schools Recruitment

Learn how to sign up new schools and receive £100.00 for each new school you sign up and £75.00 for every additional class within that school.


Recruit Children from our camps to our courses, and schools to courses

Receive £15.00 for every child you successfully recruit from our holiday camps and schools programmes to attend our term-time courses.


Court Cleaning

Learn how to clean tennis courts with moss spraying and power spraying and receive £18.00 per hour.


Life Coaching for Teenagers (Longer Term Goal)

Work one-to-one with teenagers giving them life coaching with key life skills and get paid £30.00 per hour.



2 Floodlight Court venue

Coaching programme

  • Build and develop a junior tennis programmes at the club.
  • Establish new school links to develop the Effingham area.
  • Lead classes at the club and school with a team of coaches working with you.

Junior development

  • Actively support and encourage juniors to start competing in competition in ESG tournaments and other LTA sanctioned tournaments.
  • Identify young talent amongst the juniors and getting them to play more to tennis.

Development of the Club

  • Manage a team of coaches which will include scheduling of coaches and training.
  • Developing ideas to improve the number of participating juniors and members of the club.

To be successful in the above positions the following key character and skills are required;

LTA Licensed Coach Ideally

Must be willing to relocate

Highly organized and great attention to detail

Professional image

Reliable & Punctual

Highly personal with great communication skills

A love for working with children

Positive ‘Can Do Mental Attitude’

Willingness to work hard

Passion for learning and self-improvement

Good playing level

Fluent in the English language is essential
