Pay £8.00 to £15.00 an hour depending on age, experience and qualifications.

Based in Thames Ditton, ESG is a forward-thinking, independent sports provider founded by ex-professional tennis player, Clinton Lamprecht. The company has been coaching children's sport since 1991.  Today, England Sports Group provides fantastic sports coaching for children in clubs, camps and classes at over 50 venues.  We are super proud to be the only sports activity provider who blends sport and mental wellbeing together.  ESG is also licensed to teach Franklin Covey’s world-renowned educational content and learnings, based on ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ by Stephen Covey which allows us to take a whole-person approach when coaching. Requirements

Term-time class sessions are in local schools during the week from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
Our Holiday Camps run in the school holidays Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm.
Further potential work is available at our Clubs Programmes which also runs during the week after school and on Saturday mornings.

The Role

This is an excellent role for someone looking to gain more experience in the sports industry or working with children. The Assistant Multi-sport Coach will be working with one of our ESG lead coaches, helping in afterschool clubs, classes and camps.  This role is part-time and we will work with you based on your availability to agree on a schedule.  Sports may include gymnastics, tennis, football, netball or general fitness.  Locations you may work in include Kingston, East Molesey, Richmond, Esher, Guildford, Teddington, Twickenham, Esher and Chertsey.

 

Responsibilities

• Being on time and prepared for all sessions.
• Safeguarding of all children at your session.
• Assisting with the safe set up and packing away of any equipment, ensuring all equipment is stored safely.
• Implement Health and Safety regulations and follow procedures.
• Teaching relevant skills, progressions and techniques.
• Talk to parents about a child’s progress, when necessary.
• Being professional in your interaction with children, parents, colleagues and schools.
• Be familiar and proactive with following policies and procedures.

• Support and uphold the aims and ethos of the company.
• Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection.
• Be aware of and support differences and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
• Attend relevant company meetings as required and participate in training, learning activities as required.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

• Any previous work or experience within a sport, fitness or childcare industry advantageous.
• Must be 17 years old or over when applying.
• DBS Checked - this will be completed if ESG offers you the role. 
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.
• Fluent in English and have excellent communication skills.
