Pay between £37 and £75 per day depending on age and qualifications.

The company has been coaching children in sports since 1991.  Today, England Sports Group provides fantastic coaching for children in clubs, holiday camps, and classes at over 70 venues in Surrey and SW London with a variety of sports such as gymnastics, tennis, netball, football, rugby, basketball, archery, and dance amongst others.

The Role Overview

As a Holiday Camps Gymnastics Coach, you will be leading and assisting in our gymnastics holiday camps in Richmond, Kingston or Esher.

Holiday Camps run in the school holidays Monday to Friday 9.45am to 5.15pm.

This will involve leading fun warm up games, engaging the children in different types of gymnastics including artistic, rhythmic and acrobatic gymnastics throughout the day. Supporting children on the apparatus – beams, bars, vaults, rings, bars and trampette (venue dependent). Supervising break and lunchtimes.

There is also potential work at our term time classes in schools and clubs around the local area.


Role and Responsibilities

This is a self-employed position.

As a Holiday Camps Gymnastics coach, you will be responsible for a group of up to 10 children of similar ages to coach gymnastics at an introductory and intermediate level.

You will be developing flexibility, strength, and coordination for gymnastics, teaching children floor skills such as rolls, jumps, balances, handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, handsprings and more. There will be floor routines with connective elements work and mastering skills on a variety of gymnastic apparatus – beams, bars, vaults, rings and bars (venue dependent).

Key responsibilities include:

•              Bringing energy and enthusiasm to every session.

•              Being professional in your interactions with children, parents, colleagues, and schools.

•              Being on time for all sessions

•              Assisting with the safe set up and packing away of equipment, ensuring all equipment is stored safely.

•              Teaching relevant skills, progressions, and techniques

•              Talking with parents about the progress of their children, when necessary

•              Making sure health and safety procedures are being followed

•              Being familiar with and following all club policies and procedures.

Staff training will be provided.



Coaches with British Gymnastics Qualifications Level 1, 2 or higher will be preferred

17 years old minimum (dependent on qualifications)

Enhanced DBS – this can be done in the joining process.

First Aid Certificate (or willing to attend course)

Reliable & Punctual

Good communication skills

Enjoys working with children

You must be eligible to work in the UK

You must be able to speak English fluently

You must be currently living within a commutable distance of this position.
